At MA Pest Control LLP, every technician has a unique story. Abhijit, who started his journey in Kolkata and is now working in Ranchi, shares his experiences, challenges, and personal growth. Here’s an insight into his journey.

Q: How did you feel about moving from Kolkata to Ranchi for work?
Abhijit:
“It felt great to explore a new place and meet new people, but I was also a bit
nervous. Changing cities comes with its share of fears always, but I saw this as my opportunity to
grow.

Q: What was your first impression of working in Ranchi in comparison to Kolkata?
Abhijit:
Pagal khana!

Q: How does the pest management in Kolkata compare with Ranchi?
Abhijit:
In Kolkata, we faced mostly mosquito and rodents. Ranchi is different—cockroaches and rodents have more presence here. Every place has its own pest scenario, which makes the work so interesting.

Q: How do the seasonal challenges differ?
Abhijit:
“The biggest difference is awareness. In Kolkata, people are more aware of pest control and take preventive measures. In Ranchi, awareness is still low. People usually wait until the problem gets worse to call for help

Q: How do the environments in Kolkata and Ranchi affect your work?
Abhijit:
Kolkata is always busy. Even at night, even late, you can always find resources and services. In Ranchi, after 9 PM, it closes down—silent place, no cars, autos. Needs better planning, but I have gotten adapted to it.

Q: Share with me a memorable experience from your work?
Abhijit:
The most unforgettable experience would probably be the rodent service call we had at a restaurant in Ranchi. I have never seen that number of rodents at one place—I was frightened! But then it struck me as to why we are doing all this.
When I joined the head office in Kolkata, I thought I would only work there. I never imagined that I would get the chance to work in Ranchi. It feels good and makes me proud to have this opportunity. It taught me Atmanirbhar—self-reliance and independence.”

Q: What advice would you give to someone moving to a new city for work?
Abhijit:
Be mentally prepared. You can get adjusted to any environment, but do not expect the same food there. This is India, see; every state has its own dishes. Adapting to local food comes with the journey

Q: Any final thoughts or message?
Abhijit:
I would like to thank our CEO and Managing Director for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I feel really blessed to have had this chance to grow, and I thank God for making it happen. Abhijit’s story is about how versatile and dedicated the team at MA Pest Control LLP is. He reminds us that growth begins when one steps out of his comfort zone. But with the right mindset, one can overcome anything.
