MA Pest Control LLP and Citizenry Cybersuraksha Association organized a collaborative event to felicitate Mrs. Bhabani Munda, woman footballer and coach for her contribution to “Empowering Women – Empowering World” on January 14, 2025 the corporate office of MA Pest Control LLP in Kolkata. Dr.  Snehasis Sur, President of Press Club Kolkata and Mr.  Saikat Roy, CEO, MA Pest Control LLP and Director, Citizenry Cybersuraksha Association handed over a commemorative plaque, a football and jersey. Mrs. Bhabani Munda hails from the Adivasi community of Kalchini Block of Alipurduar District of West Bengal, India. During her felicitation speech she revealed that she started to play football at a tender age with “Nibura” (Pomelo, Batabi Lebu) as she was denied a leather football. She fought all odds as girls did not play football, which was considered as a men’s game. Still more, she manages her living by running a tea shop. Her team has won many football matches and tournaments. Her contribution may be drawn from so many of her compatriots and trainees around fifty-five, who have secured employment in various spheres. Mr. Saikat Roy reassured that the shared vision of MA Pest Control LLP and Citizenry Cybersuraksha Association along with her personal vision which has survived the brutal COVID 19 pandemic do not consider it as a corporate social initiative but a family affair. Dr. Snehasis Sur congratulated Mrs. Bhabani Munda for her dedication and perseverance. He also acknowledged the support of MA Pest Control LLP and Citizenry Cybersuraksha Association. While interacting with the media, Mrs. Bhabani Munda shared that at present she manages three football teams, at times playing with them, training them and inspiring them towards a better life – physically and mentally and most importantly inculcating self-discipline through the game of football.
